There is no doubt that this past year was drastically different from anything we have faced before. 2020 was filled with challenges that affected everyone. Fort Laurens was unable to hold several events including our Speaker Series and spring school days. However, we adapted to our situation and changed how we operated to ensure that our visitors and staff were safe.
Even though we were able to hold some of our events we still lost a considerable amount of revenue. Because of the pandemic, hundreds of children missed out on experiencing Fort Laurens since we were unable to accommodate bus groups, field trips, or any of our school days. If we are unable to make up what we lost, we will have to scale back on future events and programs. If Fort Laurens has made an impact on your life, in anyway, please consider donating.
