2025 Events
April
World War One (April 5th)
Fort Laurens will be hosting a group of First World War reenactors to teach us about and honor the United States' entry into the War on April 6th, 1917. There will be a small camp and a handful of soldiers dressed in period uniforms to see and ask about any questions you may have regarding the U.S.'s participation in the Great War.
The Fort Laurens Museum and Gift Shop will be open, normal entry fees for the Museum do apply.
Did you know that Fort Laurens has a tie to WW1? In 1906 the Ohio National Guard held their biennial maneuvers and practices at and around Fort Laurens. Many of these soldiers would do on to be called into service for WW1.
